This door exceeded our expectations! This door is made well with strong hinges. Emblem looks nice and size was perfect. This door is heavy duty and should last longer than our old 34 yr door. Worth every Penney.

Nice looking door. Heavy cast-iron. It was easy to paint with regular latex after a metal primer spray coat. Mortared it in place. I made it more airtight by super-glueing a vinyl gasket weather strip to the frame.

The door is well-made and comes primed and ready to paint if desired. My main concern with buying it online was that the door should close flush to the frame all around. I was happy to find that it did.

I needed two clean-out doors to cover the openings of an 1800's fireplace dutch oven and ash pit. The made with pride in USA cast in the door was a bonus! Excellent selection, quality and price.
