Safe Lite Fire Starter squares are the safe, clean-burning solid fuel alternative to liquid charcoal fire starters. Environmentally sensible and economical, these squares light quickly and easily and burn 8-12 minutes- even when wet! Use for charcoal, grills, fireplaces, wood and pellet stoves, even campfires. Safe Lite Fire Starter squares are non-explosive, non-toxic (will not flavor food), and produce no dangerous flare-ups.

Compressed wood chip and wax based squares contain 10% recycled wood and paper fiber. Take some along when hiking or hunting for an emergency fire. Just break off a square or two, stand on edge, and place dry wood or charcoal briquettes on top. Touch a lighted match to the rough edge to start instantly. Contains 24 Squares.

Recommended Uses:
Ideal for campfires, charcoal grills, fireplaces, wood stoves and pellet stoves.

Applications:
Charcoal fires: Place three Safe Lite Fire Starter Squares on edge in a triangle. Pile charcoal around squares, leaving room for airflow above and below fire starters. Touch a match to the rough edge to ignite.

Wood fires: Place one or more squares under three or more pieces of firewood. Touch a match to the rough edge to ignite. No kindling required.

Pellet stoves: Place a square in the stove's burn pot. Place pellets on and around starter squares and light. When pellets are burning well, turn on pellet feed and operate stove as indicated by manufacturer.

If Fire Starter Squares become submersed in water, simply shake off water drops and light.

Good product

With a little kindling, the fire gets going quickly. It can be a little difficult to break into squares, but I found that if the edges are rough after breaking apart, they will light much better. We get our news on line so there is no newspaper to start the fires with. This is a great alternative.

Work great!

I watched a Northline Express video where these fire starter squares were used in combination with fat wood to get a fire going. It looked fairly easy in the video so I decided to order a small package and test them out.

They work exactly as the video showed and starting a fire in my new wood stove couldn't have been easier. They would also be great to take along on a camping trip.

These starters are great for lighting our fireplace at our cabin. Light quickly, and burn long enough to get the wood started. No waste like in the bigger fire starters. Very economical. Definitely going to buy more.

I used to have to get my bonfire started by pouring gas on the wood as I could never get the kindling to start however I bought a box of these to try and I was so impressed that I came back and bought a big box to have to take camping as well as to have for our weekend bonfires. No more waiting on the husband to get home to start the bonfire. I also sent some to my mom for her fireplace and she is wanting more now.

A lot better than Duraflame starter bricks easy to light, stays lit longer than other options - need small kindling or branckes/wood to get fire started with only three squares.

Excellent product, performs as advertised...I wish that I would have bought more, as I would like to give a box to all of my stove burning friends....good to have a couple of boxes on hand...Great to have in an emergency !!! Buy more than one, you will be Happy that you did !!!!!
