ACS Home And Hearth Cleaner will safely remove carbon, soot, creosote and grease stains from fireplace glass, hearths, stoves, brick, stone, and more, without using sodium hydroxide(lye). Sodium Hydroxide is an active ingredient found in most hearth and stove cleaners, and is also commonly used in oven cleaners, paint strippers, and drain cleaners.

ACS combines the cleaning power of citris oil, biodegradable detergents, and a unique buffered active ingredient made from sand and soda ash, which is recognized as a non-pollutant. Home and Hearth is less corrosive and more user friendly than most other hearth cleaners. And also works great for cleaning barbecue grills!!

Spray directly on surface to be cleaned and allow to penetrate briefly. Wipe off with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly. For more difficult jobs, apply generous amount of cleaner and allow to stand for a few minutes before wiping. Scrub with nylon brush or scouring pad if needed.

I use ACS HHC on the glass doors of my fireplace insert and it just melts away the soot! I also like the fact that it does not have strong odors like most commercial grade cleaners do, it makes my house smell like citrus!

Works great at removing cresote and residue on the pipe at the top of the chimney and residue on the front of the stove. Very pleased with the product.
