The 6" Magic Heat Reclaimer is a smart way to save on heating bills. Install the Magic Heat Waste Heat Reclaimer in the flue (vent pipe) of any air-tight stove, furnace, or freestanding fireplace. Exhaust heat and gases travel upward through the flue, circulating around the heat-exchanger tubes. The pre-set thermostat automatically turns the blower fan on and off when the proper temperature is reached, forcing the warmed air through the tubes and into the room while the waste gases continue up the chimney. Magic Heat is a single piece unit that quickly installs in-line with new or existing stovepipe.

Well worth the price
I am very impressed with the amount of heat it puts back into our house. I will know more once it gets colder, but for now it's all good.

Wow
We have a Lopi liberty stove and they are excellent stoves but take a while to heat up due to the firebrick in them. After starting a fire, this Magic heat reclaimer puts out about as much heat as two or three portable electric heaters while the stove is still cool enough to quickly touch. After we get a significant fire going, it's like having two heating sources. It puts out much more heat than I anticipated! Some reviews say that the fan is loud, so I was thinking that something inside must be rattling, but no, after getting one, that fan just moves that much air! If you have a quiet office space it may be bothersome, but we have it in our finished basement and we barely notice it. This is not just something to give your heater a boost, this is something that puts out a significant amount of additional heat. The only concerns that I have is; 1. If you lose power, then you have to take the electrical components out and that doesn't appear to be a two minute job, especially if you lose power with a good size fire going. 2. With that much heat being taken out of the chimney, will I have to clean it more often? That is still to be determined. Conclusion- If you need a small boost of additional heat, you better try something else. If you have a Thai wife like I do and wants to dress like she is in Miami and wants the house a toasty 80 degrees when it's 20 outside, then get this bad boy!

Adds substantial BTUs to any stove
Mine increases the heat output of my stove significantly. I ran without this for a winter and fine that it pushes heat further into the house. Very impressed.
