      TLC out of spec

Posted by JustJ on Oct 16th 2019

What arrived was a Rutland brush. TLC only partially locks on rod button. Had to aggressively wiggle/twist to obtain full lock engagement. My rods are Proflex and those lock together no problem, no persuasion needed, so it's not my rods being the issue. Noticed chamfered hole not lined up 100% centered to rod button once completely on. Had to file hole on one side so button clears. Now it'll lock on rod like it should have out of box. Easy fix, but I thought Rutland was quality and should not have to file TLC hole to work correctly. Bad production run? Who knows. Poly brush portion works as expected and seems very good long lasting quality.
