RECOMMENDED USES
Rock Wool is used to get the bright ember effect with your gas logs. Pull apart with fingers, spread lightly over unit to this replicate the ember bed. Use this with the Vermiculite to increasing that "glowing" effect or purchase the Glowing Embers instead of the Rock Wool and Vermiculite.

      Terrible stuff to work with

Posted by Todd on Feb 8th 2021

I don't know what they put in this stuff to turn it black but it turns everything it comes in contact with black, it's a real mess to work with. It's not the nicest looking ember material either, its dense and doesn't fluff out like most other I've used so it doesn't have as nice a coal bed effect. The supplier was great and got it to me ahead of schedule, I just don't like the product much.
