Description

This chimney cleaning brush is made from .050" Prostran bristles which are more flexible than our Heavy-Duty Poly brushes. It's ideal for applications where greater maneuverability is needed or for use in prefab fireplaces allowing the brush to more easily pass through the damper. It's Also a great choice where creosote build-up is such that a regular brush is too stiff to pass down the chimney. Bristles will not harm metal chimney pipe. The spindle has a 3/4" loop on one end and 3/8" Male NPT Thread on the other.

The 5SB-36048M 3/8" NPT brush rods will mate to the threads on this brush. You can also use the 5SB-30624M brush rods and a 5SB-36352M 1/4" NPT x 3/8" NPT adapter.

Note: If going through a 45° or more elbow, use ProFlex Rods and a 3/8'' NPT Female to Torque Lock Connector Female Adapter

Overall rating: 4.8636365 / 5 from 22 reviews.

"Nice brush to work with. Flexible enough to reverse in the pipe. Purchased both the 6"""""""" and 8"""""""" brushes."

6'' ROUND MEDIUM-DUTY (POLY) CHIMNEY BRUSH

"Worked very well for my application of wood stove with 6 inch chimney pipe. I did not have heavy creosote, only light to medium."

Glen W. (5/5)

Excellent product

"I originally had a hardware store chimney pipe and a Schaefer 6"" stainless steel chimney brush which worked fine. I replaced the chimney pipe with Selkirk Safe-T-Pipe and the brush was too tight. I purchased the 6'' Pro-Sweep Medium Duty (Poly) Chimney Brush 34606 and it worked perfectly and eliminated potential scoring of my chimney pipe."

Robert L. (5/5)

It works

"I had previously bought the regular (stiffer) brush, but couldn't get it into the chimney pipe from within my little wood stove. This brush is flexible enough to push into the pipe. It cleans just fine."

Tsax J. (5/5)

The brush looks like it will work for our purposes

"The brush looks like it will work for our purposes. I wanted 3/8 threads which the box stated but when contacted was sent the adapter which will work fine. Thanks for the prompt and excellent service."

Johnabelser H. (5/5)

Fits exactly for the 6 pipe, does a good job

"Fits exactly for the 6 pipe, does a good job. You'll need a 3/8 to 1/4 inch adaptor to attach to the rods. We got one for a dollar at an Ace Hardware, just a 3/8 to 1/4 inch reducer, galvanized."

Steveharstrom K. (4/5)

This brush works perfectly in our metal chimney

"This brush works perfectly in our metal chimney. I ran the brush up and down the chimney with a flexible rod. We had a pile of creosote in the wood fireplace stove. It is strong and will last many years. I do the cleaning once or twice every year."

Bill C. (5/5)

Very sturdy, very effective tool. Great value too

"Very sturdy, very effective tool. Great value too."

Geoff E. (5/5)

The brush worked very well, as advertised

"The brush worked very well, as advertised. However, I had to trim most of the bristles by ~ 1/16 about 1/8 total, as it would not fit in my SS chimney liner otherwise. I do not know if this was a brush issue or my chimney liner is a bit smaller than 6 diameter. Net / net - the brush worked very well."

Cynthia H. (4/5)

I was at first uncertain if the medium duty chimney. . .

"I was at first uncertain if the medium duty chimney brush was going to be sturdy enough to clean the metal pipe insert in my chimney. It worked great!"
