Description

Over time small black carbon-based particles embed into your masonry surface around your fireplace, taking away from its appearance. The most common masonry stains are a result of smoke, soot, creosote, and dirt. Cleaning the masonry surfaces around your fireplace is an intimidating task that requires a good deal of elbow grease and time, until you try ChimneyRX Paint & Peel Fireplace Cleaner. With this revolutionary product smoke, soot, creosote, and dirt removal are easier and faster than ever!

Paint & Peel Fireplace Cleaner can be used indoors or outdoors on stone, cultured stone, limestone, brick, marble, slate, tile, concrete, and mortar. This product is so effective and easy to use you're going to be left wondering how you ever lived without it. So how does this fireplace cleaner work? It's as easy as 1,2,3. Paint on, let it dry, and peel it off. Begin by thoroughly coating the masonry surface with the product, and leaving it to dry for 6 to 12 hours, as needed. Once thoroughly dried, it becomes an elastic-type layer which you will carefully pull back, taking with it the smoke, soot, creosote, and dirt stains that once coated your fireplace. It is also eco-friendly and free of toxic odors. That means you can give your masonry a quick make-over without worrying about the quality of air in or out of your home.

Carbon and dirt stained ceramic firebrick

This ChimneyRX Paint & Peel Fireplace Cleaner will work on ceramic firebrick that has a carbon or dirt-based stain. This ChimneyRX Paint & Peel Fireplace Cleaner will NOT work on efflorescence staining (a white crystalline deposit on surfaces of masonry, stucco, or concrete) and it will NOT remove rust or oil stains. This ChimneyRX Paint & Peel Fireplace Cleaner can NOT be used on painted surfaces.

Product Note: This item is ONLY recommended for use on porous masonry surfaces that are not finished. It is not recommended for use on finished or painted surfaces as it may damage the surface or cause irregular peeling.

Disappointed

"We bought a container of this just to try it out - It works great at getting off the soot and smoke stains. The website said it you have trouble getting it off reapply thicker - so we did. After HOURS of trying to peel it off and sore finger tips we gave up. We still have spots of the cleaner on our brick unfortunately but its going to stay that way for now. We're going it wears off but I doubt it. We tried scrub brushing, burning, shop vac. . . nothing works. Burning actually made it look worse. Thick or thin it does not come off easily. Not worth the fight"

This product cleaned our hearth and brick work above the fireplace well.

"Using painters tape for the perimeter was helpful."

Cleaning ability

"This product was difficult to use and very expensive. The ad said it would cover 20-40 sq ft but after looking at the label more carefully that was for a gallon and for $50, you only receive 1/2 gallon. So I needed to spend $100 for a little as 20 sq ft coverage. When I applied it, I tried to make it thick enough but it shrank or slipped down so some parts were thinner than recommended. After waiting the recommended time I pulled it off. However only about 80 or 90% came off easily leaving small pieces to take off individually, sometimes with a razor. It was so time consuming I might as well have used soap and brush and elbow grease."

It sounds like it will do the job

"It sounds like it will do the job. Soot is all over this beautiful white brick."

Worked great for us!

"A portion of our chimney was soot-stained from a very hot house fire. It was up by the ceiling and I dreaded using any kind of liquid mix or scrubbing/splattering/dripping solution. I tried this, anticipating having to do several coats. I put it on (no mess, no drip!), left it overnight, and peeled it off the next morning. Results are absolutely amazing! One application only, all soot stains removed! This product saved me HOURS of tedious scrubbing and messy clean up. It was worth every penny. Thank you for such a great product!"

Product works great!

"I highly recommend this! It's much easier than scrubbing away the dirt. I used it to clean my fireplace and the grout between my kitchen tiles. Just make sure you let it dry completely before you try to remove it."

Works great

"I used 2 buckets on our chimney, 1. 5 hours per bucket for application and about 30 minutes for removal, let dry a full 24 hours, WOW did it ever work well, thanks"
