The best I've found

"I have been using this product for nearly 20 years now and am very happy with the way it removes the dangerous creosote from our wood furnace chimney. While we always burn very well seasoned hardwoods, a little bit of creosote still forms on the walls of our stovepipe. (We heat 4800 sq ft and burn our wood furnace full blast 24 hrs a day for 6 months out of the year. ) But using this powder every week, turns the sticky tar-like creosote that is formed into a soft light powder rendering the creosote harmless so it's no longer a danger of causing a chimney fire. The creosote powder left behind is so much easier to clean off when we sweep the chimney periodically throughout the burning season. I have used several types and brands of creosote remover over the years, but this one from Rutland is the absolute best and well worth the price paid when compared to losing everything we own if we didn't use it."

Chummy blocked with creosote, brush wouldn't go in

A lot

"Do not buy this Product, unless you are living way. . . and i mean way out in the woods and can not have your Loghome burning down, using this one. One scoop will do some good Fireworks with differend Lights in your Fireplace. But more Scoops will really get your Home burning down. Use at your Own Risk or how much of a Lightshow you would like to look at. It will be Colorful. . . No Kiddin."

Recommended by Chimney Sweep; Works

"We purchased this as a replacement for an item recommended by our chimney sweep. The part number is identical (#98) to our old product even though the manufacturer appears to have slightly changed the description. Our old product said ""for wood stoves and fireplaces. "" This now says ""for air tight wood stoves and fireplace inserts. "" Either way, it works."

Great product

"I have been using this product for several years now. It definitely lowers the creosote levels that remain in the chimney. Cuts back the amount of creasote generated on chimney walls by a huge amount. When chimney sweeping annually, it is very easy to get the remaining creosote off the chimney walls since they are flakes and come right off."

Easy to use and saves on cleaning.

"Great product I have been using this product for several years now. It cuts back the amount of creosote in the chimney walls. Tell friends and family about it and they started using it also."
