Description
The Vacu-Stack Chimney Cap is the best solution for wind induced downdrafts on both masonry and prefabricated chimneys. It is designed to stop wind from blowing into the chimney regardless of the wind direction. Accelerated air flow around the Vacu-Stack causes flue gasses to flow up and out of the chimney.

This model is designed for a round Class A Double Wall Chimney and can be used on a masonry chimney with proper adapter sold separately.

"I ordered an 8"" vacu-stack with the 8"" masonry adapter. Installed on masonry chimney, inside measures 10 7/8 x 10 7/8. According to site should fit 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 to 13 x 13 flue. After installation lit fire with smoke filling room. This has never happened before except during high winds and never had that much smoke. Should I have purchased the upsized of 10 inches? Or is this a design error? Thank you"

Great Product!

"We live in Nederland, Colorado on a hill at 8400 feet of elevation. Needless to say it is generally windy here and really windy sometimes. Our primary heat source is our wood stove and during the last windstorm, we about got smoked our of our house. Thru searching the web for solutions, we found Northline Express and the Vacu-Stack. Shipping was quick and installation was easy. Wow, what a difference! It is blowing 20-30 today and gusting to 50 and we have not had one wisp of smoke in the house. I have even had the doors on the stove open to enjoy the fire and no smoke is coming in at all. Thanks Northline Express and Vacu-Stack!"

The quality of the product was excellent

"The quality of the product was excellent. The installation required very little modification to work with our existing system. The results in controlling the downdrafts has substantially improved, but we live at a high altitude and the winds can be very harsh 30+ mph. I would recommend it to anyone with a problem of downdrafts due to windy conditions."
