Description

Ten foot, 1 1/2" wide self adhesive strip insulation forms a smoke and gas tight seal between a fireplace insert and existing masonry fireplace. To obtain best stove performance, replace insulation each time your insert is removed for cleaning. Can also be used to seal fireplace doors to the fireplace.

Insulation Quality and Overall Value

"Product did well for its intended purpose. However, the actual insulation material separated easily. It was was constructed in layers which split apart. If the insulation material had a spun structure I believe it would be much sturdier and easier to work with. As to overall value, the purchase price was very reasonable; but the shipping and handling charge seemed relatively excessive for the small and light weight item. Perhaps if the USPS ""If it fits, it ships"", had been used, the such charges could have been more moderate."
