Description

Do you need a way to monitor the efficient burn range of your stove? This Magnetic Stove Thermometer will do just that for you. The Magnetic Stove Thermometer informs you which range you are burning in and when you are burning effectively. When the front glass gets black the thermometer will read in the Creosote Range, when the carbon on the glass disappears it indicates that the Burn Range is spot on, and the Over Burn Range is key for monitoring high temps and prolonging the life of your wood burning stove.

The attractive baked enamel face indicates when your stove may be overheating or presents a low temperature creosote build-up hazard. Safety wire is included.

For most accurate readings its recommended to place the thermometer on the stove pipe at least 12'' above the stove top.

The Stove Thermometer magnetically connects to stove top, door or flue pipe to show at a glance if the stove is operating within an efficient burning range.

  • Safety wire is included
  • Connects to stove top, door or flue pipe

Overall rating: 4.357143 / 5 from 14 reviews.

Unfortunate Purchase

"Bought this because of the good luck we've had with all Rutland products for the wood stove but unfortunately this thermometer does not work. After a massively hot fire, it finally moved up to 200 degrees -- which tells me that it does not work. The other thermometer we had before would have read anywhere from 350-400 degrees for this type of fire. Northline was great about refunding my money, although I am out $10 in shipping. :( Will buy something local. Moderator comment: Jayme, please contact us by email and I will take care of the $10. For your trouble. I suspect you just got a bad one since we haven't hear of any other troubles and have been selling Rutland thermometers for over 10 years. . . Robert"

Horrible!

"I purchased this on the recommendation of the other reviews and the great luck we've experienced with other Rutland products. However, we found out that this thermometer will not move off 100 degrees and it doesn't matter where it's placed. We placed it on the woodburner itself and it STILL wouldn't move off 100 degrees. I am sending this back and getting something different. Commentator Response; It sounds like the needle may be disconnected from the spring. You can check the back and see if it's connected or simply call our Customer Service department at 866-667-8454 to request an exchange or refund."
