The Stove Paint contains a silicone protectant that helps makes the paint rust, mar and scratch resistant, providing long-term coverage and high heat resistance.

It is recommended to use stove bright primer, especially for any appliances that will be used outdoors such as fire pits, grills, or outdoor fireplaces. To make painting indoor appliances easy it is recommended to use Stove Bright Prep and Cleaner before painting the item. This will ensure the best results for good adhesion.
You can even use Stove Bright Paint on the inside of your dreary old fireplace to make it look new again. The high temperature paint in an aerosol can makes it easy to apply paint to almost any surface.
If you are planning on using Stove Bright High Temp Paint on a BBQ grill please be advised of the following:
- Stove Bright High Temp Paint is not rated for extended exposure to the sun and will fade over time. Constant exposure will show fading or dulling in as early as the third or fourth season, possibly sooner.
- It is recommended to keep the grill covered or in an area not exposed to the UV light of the sun, to help lengthen the time the product will last without fading.
- Stove Bright brand paint is not rated for food safety and should never be applied to the inside of a grill or to any cooking grates.
- Food and Grease can also cause a chemical reaction with the paint. Manufacturers recommend cleaning any food or grease off of the pant as soon as possible to prevent damage to the paint.

No. Stove Bright Paint is not rated for food safety and should never be applied to any cooking surface or to the inside of a grill.
How long does it take for stove bright high temp paint to cure?
The paint typically dries to touch in about 20 minutes. When doing two light coats you can apply the second coat after about 15 minutes. The paint will dry to handle in about 2 hours, but it is recommended to wait at least 4 hours before lighting your first fire.
